Trial Lawyers for Injured People
Julie Rhoades
A native Texan, Ms. Rhoades graduated cum laude from South Texas College of Law in 1988, then clerked for a year at the Texas Court of Appeals in Dallas. She then joined the law firm of Butler & Binion, where she successfully litigated cases for those who had been sued, including homeowners covered by homeowner’s insurance. Ten years later, she joined Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Matthews and Friend, which advocated for the rights of the injured. On January 1, 2007, Ms. Rhoades joined David Matthews at his new firm, Matthews & Associates, where she continues to devote her practice to protecting the legal rights of those injured through the negligent and willful conduct of others.
Ms. Rhoades strongly believes the jury system is the truest example of democracy at work. An avid gardener and animal lover, she lives in the Meyerland area of Houston with her three Manx cats.
